ABSTRACT
My abstract works are where my practice began, rooted in an exploration of colour, gesture, and form. In these pieces, I pursue painting as a language of emotion — a way to give shape to the unspoken through mark-making, rhythm and balance.
I approach abstraction as a conversation between control and spontaneity. Each work evolves through layering, erasure and revision, allowing traces of process to remain visible. These gestures become records of thought and energy, a kind of visual diary that resists fixed interpretation.
The result is work that invites open-ended encounter, where viewers bring their own meaning to the movement of colour and form. In abstraction, I find both freedom and foundation — a ground that continues to inform my landscapes and tablescapes today.
